Preseason 2022 Training Camp

Preseason Training Camp:

July 25th – July 28th (5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) (Monday – Thursday) Ankeney Soccer Complex
Celtic Players (2015 to 2008 Birth Years)
Cost: $115 a player (Includes T-Shirt)

Our camp will be staffed with former professional and college players as top High School and ODP coaches. This collection of staff coaches is the most experienced in the Miami Valley. This is a great environment for young soccer players today.

Walk-up registration will be available 30 minutes prior to camp (5:00 PM) by the Concession Stand. All pre-registered players will need to sign in by the Concession Stand on the first day.

Players will need to create a new family account to register for the camps if you are not currently a BSA Celtic or Galaxy Player.

Preseason Soccer Camp Philosophy:

We want every player who attends our camps to understand “how to” play soccer properly.  This is especially important in teaching techniques.  We would like for every player to improve technically while at camp, but we would all agree that one week of practice does not make a player.  That is why it is important that the players leave camp understanding how it is done so that they continue to master the skills of soccer on their own with their own teams.

We also want the player to be exposed to certain tactical applications and concepts so that, when he leaves camp, he will be a better “team” player.  Here we want to improve the player’s understanding of “what to” do during the match.

We want to “inspire” the player to become better and to enjoy the game more.  We want every player to leave camp excited about playing and looking forward to his next game. Making our training enjoyable but challenging will help us accomplish this.  We will interject our personalities into our coaching sessions and bring out the best in each player.

We are here to teach, not simply to manage or supervise the players during their evening games.  The teaching program for the week has been developed with this philosophy in mind.  Teaching the player “how to” (technique), or “what to” (tactic), is still the main objective of our camp.
